5 PA Chemistry/Biochemistry Job Vacancy @ CSIR-CSMCRI: The mission of the Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute and its people is to work in partnership with visionary sponsors and collaborators to generate the knowledge and innovations required for efficient utilization of our coastal wasteland, sea water, marine algae, solar power and silicates. The Institute will also harness its capabilities in biosciences, chemical transformation, process engineering, environmental monitoring, separation science and analysis to address focused needs of industries and organizations in the region and beyond.

5 PA Chemistry/Biochemistry Job Vacancy @ CSIR-CSMCRI

A Walk-in interview is being held for the following post:

Name of the post: Project JRF/Project Assistant Level-II (PA-II)

Number of posts: Five (5), GEN

Qualification:

For PA-II: M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Biochemistry OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks.

For Project JRF: NET LS/GATE is required.

Those who appeared in the final examination and expecting result by 5th July, 2016 with above mentioned marks can also appear for the interview.

Fellowship: 

For PA-II: Rs. 12,000/- and Rs. 14,000 pm for NET-LS/GATE qualified candidates. (Subject to revision by CSIR)

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years for PA-II (Relaxation applicable as per CSIR rule)

Job Description:

For PA-II:

  • Chemist (one post): Development and application of molecular sensors for biologically important compounds
  • Biochemist/chemist (two posts): Fractionation of seaweed extracts to identify and isolate bioactive compounds important for plant and animal nutrition. The candidate should be well versed with analytical techniques like HPLC, GCMS, LCMS and is expected to analyse for metabolites in samples
  • Chemist (one post): Development of catalyst for Aza Henry reaction of ketimines with nitro alkanes
  • Biotechnologist (one post): Work related to potassium solubilization through microbes

Duration: Appointment for all posts will be up to 31st March 2017. Further extension will depend on availability of fund and project duration

Tenure: These posts are purely temporary for duration of project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.

No., (2) Date of birth and (3) Educational qualifications and experience (if any) together with the Xerox copies of certificates/testimonials. If necessary, a printed copy of an application type document will also be supplied to you to fill up for certain information at the time of interview.
  • You are also requested to bring with you the following documents: Original Certificates(s), Marksheet(s) (Degree/Diploma, etc.) of the educational qualifications, certificate in support of the date of birth, original experience certificate, testimonials etc. mentioned by you in your application. This is required for verification.
  • In case you are employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization, you should bring with you a No Objection Certificate from your present employer. Otherwise, you will have to give a declaration that at present you are un-employed.
