As a member of the Cell Line Development team within the multi-disciplinary Cell Culture Development Department, you will be joining a group that is focused on the generation of recombinant cell lines to support clinical and commercial manufacturing of new therapeutics. This team also develops and implements new technologies that are capable of improving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of the workflow and resulting cell lines. The successful candidate will have diverse skills ranging from generation of recombinant protein expression vectors, genome editing, genetic characterization of cell lines, and expression of recombinant proteins in CHO platforms. We are seeking a creative and forward thinking individual capable of conceiving and executing innovations in the optimization of recombinant cell lines producing therapeutic proteins.

The successful candidate possesses excellent hands-on molecular biology skills and tissue culture experience. A proven track record of innovation and productivity in an industrial setting is essential; specifically in the development of enhanced mammalian expression platforms through vector improvements or host cell line engineering strategies. Knowledge of CMC and regulatory aspects of cell line development and an understanding of the regulatory implications of host/vector innovation are a plus. Demonstrated expertise in the fields of synthetic biology, systems biology and/or precision genome editing tools is highly sought after. The ability to work collaboratively within and across departments is a must.
Education BS/MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 6 or more years of relevant experience. PhDs with some industrial experience will also be considered.
