Biomedical science Job | Post Doc Position @ GW University

Job Description Summary:

  • Researches and studies Branchio-oto-renal syndrome using Xenopus and mouse
  • Designs and evaluates experiments and develops new ideas
  •  Plans and develops research methods and techniques within the framework of the project
  •  Performs Craniofacial Histology, molecular biology & microinjections
  • Maintains accurate records of research findings and analyzes results
  • Prepares research results for publications in reports, papers, journals, books and other media
  • Attends, contributes to, and leads internal and external meetings
  • Trains students on basic laboratory operations and functions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Require’s a PhD in the field or in a related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree in biological or biomedical science.
  • A strong record of publication including at least 1 first author peer-reviewed publication in the field of craniofacial development
  •  Experience with Xenopus or mouse husbandry and developmental genetics, embryological manipulations and molecular biology techniques.
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • ability to think critically and creatively and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
