Biotechnology Job Vacancy | JRF Position @ Central Institute for Research on Goats: The Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India at Makhdoom village near Farah town in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh on July 12, 1979 for undertaking research on all aspects of goat production and utilization. The Coordinating Unit of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Goat Improvement was also transferred to CIRG from the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar. The Institute has acquired and developed modern laboratory facilities over the years to conduct research on Goat Genetics and Breeding, Feed Resource Development & Utilization, Nutrition, Physiology, Reproduction, Management, Diagnosis & Prevention of Diseases, Transfer of Improved Technologies and Milk and Meat Products Technology.

Name of Project: ‘Isolation, Characterization and Development of a Culture Method for Long-Term Preservation of Spermatogonial Stem Cells from Doom Pig’
Qualification: Post graduate degree in Basic Science. Biotechnology with NET/GATE or other equivalent qualification OR Post graduate degree in professional course/M.V.Sc. in Animal Physiology/ Animal Biotechnology / Animal Biochemistry/ Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstretrics/Animal Reproduction OR Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology / Zoology or other relevant subjects OR Graduate degree in Professional course with NET qualification Post graduate degree in Basic Science or professional course Desirable: Experience of working with cell culture especially spermatogonial stem cell, knowledge of molecular methods for gene expression studies and computer (MS Office) related work etc.
