College for Girls, Patiala was started in 1942 as an Intermediary College with 22 students and 6 subjects in Arts & Humanities; today it offers a total of 11 courses, both at UG and PG level in Arts as well as Science streams, to about 2500 students. The college is proud of its teaching faculty, which includes 30 PhDs and 30 M.Phil out of a total staff of 79 lecturers. The college was assessed by the NAAC in March 2003 and accredited with B+ grade.
