Immunology Job | Scientist Position @ Adaptive Biotechnologies USA

Position Overview

  • Participate in the development of new assays for immune system profiling by next generation sequencing jointly with other researchers and computational biologists.
  • develop new assays and optimize existing assays for transition into a service lab and/or kits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new PCR-based assays for immune system profiling by next generation sequencing in collaboration with a team of other researchers
  • Design and prepare clear and concise experimental plans, protocols, and SOPs
  • Work across teams, including other R&D team members, process engineering, validation scientists
  • Execute detailed experimental plans
  • Responsible for next-generation DNA sequencing & for reviewing and analyzing data

Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, or similar discipline along with 8+ years of laboratory experience OR
  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of laboratory experience
  • Molecular biology skills with PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, or ddPCR experience
  • Windows OS, Mac OS, and MS Office literacy

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing diagnostic assays under design control
  • Experience in writing SOPs, verification and/or validation protocols and final reports per FDA guidelines
  • Experience with statistical analysis of clinical data as well as NGS in any capacity
