Immunology Postdoctoral Position @ University of Pennsylvania

Position Overview

A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Dermatology to develop a novel field of cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, with particular emphasis on the autoantibody-mediated disease pemphigus.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with flow cytometry, T cell immunoassays for regulatory and cytotoxic T cells, lentiviral design and production, and mouse models of disease, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree with expertise in cell culture, mouse colony maintenance, and mouse transgenics.
  • Applicants must have less than 3 years prior postdoctoral fellowship experience, and be willing to devote a minimum of 2 years to the project.
