Medical Diagnostic Independent Research Fellowship @ NTU | UK: Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a public university in Nottingham, England. It was founded as a new university in 1992 from Trent Polytechnic (later Nottingham Polytechnic). Its roots go back to 1843 with the establishment of the Nottingham Government School of Design which still exists within the university today. It is the 16th largest university in the UK (out of 165) with 26,890 students split over three different campuses.

NTU is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher in our School of Science and Technology, which represents an area of major and increasing strength to the University, as evidenced by its significant contribution to our recent Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher Education.

Join us now on a 5-year Research Fellow contract, to be followed by transfer to a permanent lectureship. (Transfer will be subject to the post-holder reaching required performance targets during the period of the Fellowship). This Fellowship opportunity is part of a package of significant investment in the School, which demonstrates the University’s commitment to and confidence in the School’s continued success in research and teaching. Our aim is to provide the most promising early career academics with a first step into an independent research career leading to a permanent academic position.
