We currently have a vacancy for a Scientific Officer in our Molecular Cell Biology Team, led by Professor Clare Isacke. The objective of this post will be to spend ~75% of the time participating in research projects in Professor Isacke’s laboratory that focus on the process of breast cancer metastasis. In particular the applicant will be involved in projects using in vivo models of breast cancer metastasis. Approximately 25% of the time will be spent on laboratory management duties. The Institute of Cancer Research and Breast Cancer Now’s Research Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and facilities and the post-holder will have access to a wide variety of training opportunities.

Applicants should possess a BSc or equivalent in molecular biology or cell biology. Experience of working in a research laboratory as well as experience in molecular and/or cell biology techniques is essential, together with excellent organisation skills.

Experience of working with in vivo models of cancer would be advantageous.

The appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract for 3 years, with a starting salary in the range of £25,024 to £27,906 per annum inclusive based upon relevance of skills and experience. The full salary scale is within the range of £25,024 to £31,134 per annum inclusive.
