Multiple JRF Botany / Project Fellow Job Recruitments @ ICFRE- AFRI: Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. Topical research by the Council enhances public confidence in the ability of forest managers and researchers to successfully handle challenges related to natural resource management.

Position 1: JRF

  • Project Title : Selection of efficient AM fungi, PSBs and Azospirillum for productivity enhancement of Dendrocalomus strictus & Bambusa Bambos
  • Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc. in Botany with plant pathology/M.Sc in Microbiology
  • No. of Post  : 01
  • Salary : Rs. 12,000

Position 2: JRF

  • Project Title : Screening of DNA markers of Distinguish male and female Ailanthus excelsa Treees for Higher Biomass Production/ Forest Genetics, Resource Management & Tree improvement
  • Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc. in Botany/Agriculture/ Biotechnology/Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Forestry. Experience : Work related to Molecular- Biology/Plant growth data collection in field experiments and data entry in computer.
  • No. of Post : 01
  • Salary : Rs. 12,000/-

Position 3: JRF

  • Project Title : Development of tissue culture protocol for economically important Bmboo- Schlrostachym dullooa.
  • Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc. In Biotechnology/Botany

Position 4: JRF

  • Project Title :  Identification of Juvenility markers to Improve rooting potential of some Important tree species.
  • Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc. in Agriculture/Botany/ to Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Forestry. Experience : Work related to plant growth data collection in field experiments and data entry in computer.

Position 5: JRF

  • Project Title : Diversity of pollinators and their role in fruit/pod production of Acacia senegal, Copporis deciduo and Prosopis cineroria (Tricuta) in Rajasthan.
  • Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc. in Agriculture/Zoology/Forestry/ entomology /Biotechnology.

Position 6: Project Fellow

  • Project Title : Evaluation of Forest Protection, management and developmental activities under Compensatory Afforestation and Management Authority (CAMPA) in Rajasthan
  • Qualification : B.Sc. in Agriculture or biological or physical sciences with 50% marks. Post is purely field-oriented and selected Incumbent will be on tour of most of the time.
  • Age Limit : 28 yrs
