Job Description:

Budget Title: Postdoctoral Associate (SL-1)

Salary: $47,600

An immediate postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratory of Karin Sauer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University, Binghamton, NY, to work on the mechanisms contributing to the tolerance of P. aeruginosa biofilms to antimicrobial agents.

Postdoctoral Associate Microbiology @ Binghamton University

Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD in microbiology or related field and be proficient in biofilm growth techniques, cloning including the generation of overexpresser and deletion constructs, RNA-related methods, and RT-PCR. Experience with Pseudomonas genetics, detection of c-di-GMP, and confocal microscopy is desired. Successful applicants should be self-motivated, productive, be experienced in writing scientific publications, have strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and be able to work in a team.
