We are offering a position of Post-Doctoral Researcher in Proteomics in the Biological Mass Spectrometry Laboratory of Dr. Andrej Shevchenko.

Main tasks and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong background in label-free and targeted proteomics, including the identification of common PTMs. Interest and experience in quantitative lipidomics and metabolomics or high resolution mass spectrometry will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will develop methods for the quantitative characterization of protein and lipid composition of biological membranes and will the study molecular mechanisms underlying their adaptation towards dietary and environmental challenges.

Your qualifications
The successful candidate should have a doctoral degree and documented experience in protein chemistry and proteomics. The candidate should be able to interact with members of an interdisciplinary team of cell biologists, omics scientists, computer scientists and clinicians, work in a competitive international environment and possess excellent communication and data presentation skills (English is a working language in MPI).

The full-time position is available immediately. The initial contract is for 2 years with possible extension. Salary and social benefits will be in accordance with the regulations of the German TVöD Bund (salary agreement for public service employees). We especially encourage women to apply.
